August 2026 Prayer Diary
1. Standing in your presence, Lord, my heart and life are changed; just to love you and to live to see your beauty and your grace. Heaven and earth cry out your name, nations rise up and see your face, and your kingdom is established as I live to know you more. Now I will never be the same; Spirit of God, my life you’ve changed, and I’ll for ever sing your praise. I live to know you, Lord. I live to know you, Lord.
2. Give thanks for Graham and every part of his ministry. May he know the grace, wisdom and empowering of the Holy Spirit in this challenging time in the life of our benefice.
3. Pray for King Charles and his close family as they serve our nation.
4. Pray for our farming communities.
5. Pray for Holiday Clubs and Beach Missions as they provide opportunities for young people to meet with Jesus.
6. Pray for the ministry of Quiet Waters.
7. Give thanks for sponsors and team members of Compassion as they release children from poverty and teach them about Jesus.
8. Praise my soul the King of heaven! To his feet thy tribute bring; ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven, who like me his praise should sing? Praise him! Praise him! Praise him! Praise him! Praise the everlasting King!
9. Pray for Leon Collyer and his family as he ministers in the scattered communities in the ‘Saints’.
10. Pray for local businesses to thrive and our councils to make wise decisions.
11. Pray for the daily witness of members of our congregations.
12. Pray for our local care workers to bring hope and show love to those in their own homes or the community homes.
13. Pray for Christians suffering intense persecution in Nigeria, Sudan, Mali and Burkina Faso.
14. Pray for all who come to our churches for the first time. May they experience the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
15. Lord for the years your love has kept and guided, urged and inspired us, cheered us on our way, sought us and saved us, pardoned and provided; Lord of the years, we bring our thanks today.
16. Pray for our church wardens, lay elders and PCC members.
17. Pray for blessing on all involved in the re-ordering of the South Aisle.
18. Pray for all working at Bungay Medical Centre.
19. Pray for one another, giving thanks for the deep friendships we enjoy as we meet together.
20. Pray for our Archdeacon Rich. May he continue his Spirit-filled ministry, guiding us through these challenging times.
21. Pray for Francesco, Zoe and their children serving Jesus in Kosovo.
22. I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus, the Nazarene, and wonder how he could love me, a sinner, condemned, unclean. O, how marvellous! O how wonderful, and my song shall ever be; O how marvellous! O how wonderful! is my Saviour’s love for me.
23. Pray for foodbanks. Give thanks for those who serve and enable them to bless the recipients.
24. Pray for those we know with mental health issues and all who try to help them.
25. Pray for contact with any musicians in our area who would enjoy enhancing our worship.
26. Pray for Ukraine and all its people.
27. Pray for continued blessing on the Land family.
28. Pray for Barnabas Aid, Tearfund, Christian Aid and Embrace the Middle East.
29.There is a Redeemer, Jesus, God’s own Son, precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One. Thank you, O my Father, for giving us your Son, and leaving your Spirit till the work on earth is done.
30. Pray for a reduction in the economic gulf between the nations.
31. Pray for our Bishops Joanne and Luke.
