January 2025         Prayer Diary

1. Pray for Edward and Heather, for guidance, wisdom and inspiration as they lead Lightwave.

2. Pray for Christians suffering persecution in Mali, Sudan, Chad and Nigeria.

3. Pray for all who come to our churches for the first time. May they experience the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.  

4. You are the King of Glory, you are the Prince of Peace, you are the Lord of heaven and earth, you’re the Son of Righteousness. Angels bow down before you, worship and adore, for you have the words of eternal life, you are Jesus Christ the Lord. Hosanna to the Son of David! Hosanna to the King of kings! Glory in the highest heaven, for Jesus the Messiah reigns!

5. Pray for our Archbishop Stephen Cottrell.  

6. Pray for blessing on our farming communities.

7. Pray for our local schools; for teachers, children and governors.

8. Pray for blessing and protection for Barnaby and Judah.

9. Pray for Compassion as they release children from poverty and tell them about Jesus.

10. Pray for our bell ringers, for God’s blessing and guidance as they seek pathways for the future.

11. Lord for the years your love has kept and guided, urged and inspired us, cheered us on our way, sought us and saved us, pardoned and provided: Lord of the years, we bring our thanks today.

12. Pray for our Archdeacons, Rich and Sally, for an outpouring of wisdom, grace and the power of the Holy Spirit. 

13. Pray for the daily witness of members of our congregations.

14. Pray for the ministry of Quiet Waters.

15. Pray for inspiration for Heather as she guides teenagers singing and playing instruments.  

16. Pray for all who work at Bungay Medical Centre.

17. Pray for Francesco, Zoe and their children serving Jesus in Kosovo.

18. I cast my mind to Calvary, where Jesus bled and died for me. I see his wounds, his hands, his feet, my Saviour on the cursed tree. O praise the name of the Lord our God, O praise his name for evermore. For endless days we will sing your praise, Oh Lord, Oh Lord our God.

19.Pray for the process of replacing Bishop Martin and the Archbishop of Canterbury.

20. Pray for Foodbanks. Give thanks for those who volunteer and help them to bless the recipients.

21. Pray for Ukraine and all its people as we hear the latest news.

22. Pray for the Lightwave Core Team as they provide support for Ed and Heather.  

23. Pray for our church wardens, lay elders and PCC members.

24. Pray for local businesses to thrive and our councils to make wise decisions.   

25.I the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry, all who dwell in dark and sin my hand will save. I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send? Here I am Lord. Is it I Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.

26. Pray for Leon Collyer and family as he ministers in ‘the Saints’.

27. Pray for those suffering from mental health issues and all trying to help them.

28. Pray for a reduction in the economic gulf between the nations.

29. Pray for King Charles and his close family as they serve our nation.

30. Pray for all care workers that they may serve with compassion and be encouraged in their work.

31. Pray for Barnabas Aid, Tear Fund and Christian Aid.
